The yearly flower parade in Zundert requires about 6 million dahlia flowers. Once the parade is finished, the flowers are still in bloom, but they are no longer used. Together with the parade organizers, this research focuses on how these dahlia’s can be transformed into useful new applications, for instance in pharma, or bio-based fuels.
