Christelijke Hogeschool Ede

The Ede Christian University of Applied Sciences (CHE) is an independent medium-sized University (about 5000 students). As such, we are a flexible partner, able to join collaborations relatively easily. Our organization is grounded in Christian values, guided by a human-centered vision, and committed to building strong, mutually engaged relationships. It is in our nature to help society move forward by addressing complex and urgent challenges. That is why many of our partnerships and research efforts focus on the public sector and civil society. Key areas of expertise are social work and (social) resilience, public health and nursing, education, theology, communication and journalism, human-centered IT, HR and business administration.

The focal points our research are captured in three themes:

  1. Dialogue – acknowledging differences and overcoming polarization
  2. Participation / Involvement – paying attention to those who participate and those who cannot do so naturally
  3. Equality – making the voice of the voiceless heard and humane governance
